About Me

Hi, I’m Julie Heil, a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student at Georgia Tech with a Minor in Physics. I love exploring the intersection of engineering and creativity, whether it's designing innovative systems or crafting something unique by hand.

Beyond my academic work, I spend my time rock climbing, sewing, playing tennis, and hosting fun activities for me and my friends. Whether it’s a climbing route that challenges my focus or a handmade costume for my cat, I enjoy finding ways to merge my technical and creative sides.

Since Fall 2024, I’ve been part of Georgia Tech's EcoCAR team, sponsored by General Motors, where I work on the Project Management team. My role involves collaborating across subteams, coordinating tasks, and ensuring smooth information flow to meet goals in propulsion and autonomous systems development. Starting in Spring 2025, I’ll join Dr. William Singhose’s lab to prototype a robotic baby that simulates real infant movements for product safety testing. You can find more about my experience and projects in my resume.

I have a deep passion for automotive racing and motorsports, with a dream of one day working in Formula One. Combining my love of engineering and speed, I hope to contribute to the innovation and performance that define the pinnacle of motorsport.
